The Pennants
In 1954, commemorative pennants were the most intimate way of declaring belonging. Fabric, color, coat of arms — each piece condensed the identity of its bearer. The IV Centenary pennants bring together all the symbolism of the celebrations: Niemeyer's Ascending Volute, the State Coat of Arms, the Monument to the Bandeiras, Ibirapuera, the Bandeirantes, the Indigenous Peoples, and the immigrants. It was in this aesthetic — between the artisanal and the heraldic — that Sartoria San Paolo found the visual language for the SSP 1954 label.

SSP 1954 Pennant

Sartoria San Paolo RTW Pennant
Two new pennants were handcrafted for the SSP 1954 and Sartoria San Paolo RTW collections, with design inspired by the vintage pieces in the archive — a bridge between the 1954 aesthetic and the label that today identifies each piece in the Ready-to-Wear line.
Nine original pennants, preserved by time and dedication. Each piece is a testimony in fabric — printed with the colors, coats of arms, and symbols that made São Paulo the metropolis we know. Enter the special room and discover each one.

From Vintage Pennants to the SSP 1954 Label
The most direct connection between São Paulo's history and the SSP 1954 collection lies in the pennants. Their colors, typography, and symbols were translated into the label design and Ready-to-Wear pieces — where the artisanal gesture of 1954 meets contemporary tailoring.
